Alltel to Deploy VOCEL’s Interactive Messaging (VIM) Platform
VOCEL announced today that Alltel has signed an agreement to deploy its patented VOCEL Interactive Messaging (VIM) platform.
The VIM platform allows users to vote, purchase, or respond to messages with just one click allowing Alltel to better understand subscriber preferences and enhance services.
“We are excited about our first network wide deployment of the VIM platform on a major mobile operator.” said Bill Hamill, SVP Strategic Development of VOCEL, “this opportunity will showcase how VIM enables an operator to be more responsive to its subscribers.”
"The VIM platform will improve Alltel’s ability to deliver valuable products and services to our subscribers", said Dow Draper, SVP of Data and Voice Services.
The VOCEL messaging gateway is currently being integrated with Alltel systems and will be available to Alltel subscribers in the fourth quarter of this year.
